And, it's going to be cheap r than 90% of other restaurants. Los Parceros is a super small hole in the wall with a a few tables and one waitress doing most of the work. Empanadas were a meh. They were greasy and I won't get them again. The arepa was nothing to write home about--maybe my problem is that I have super high expectations for arepas. The Bandeja paisa was decent, but if we go back, I'll be doing the Colombian plate again. And the margaritas? ![]() Cheap but not that great. Too much sweet and sour mix. Will I be back? Most likely, because we live in the neighborhood. Plus, they have a great tv to watch a soccer game. And the service is nice enough. But would I go out of my way to try this place out? No, and you probably shouldn't either. Total rip-off! Thought I would take a friend, who once resided in Columbia, for a trip down nostalgia lane so we went to Los Parceros for some Columbian food. After discussing the soup fares with the waitress (in Spanish), we ordered one of the $3.50 soups of the day but ended up being charged $12.00. When we complained, even the boss refused to acknowledge the waitress's mistake. Though the food was decent, can't say I'd go back there. Be wary of ordering the soup unless you don't mind the exorbitant price. Any wonder the restaurant was empty at lunchtime today? I was craving some Bandeja Paisa ( a traditional Colombian plate) and Los Parceros was one of the only places in Denver that had this on the menu. I made the 45 minute drive to visit, and was not disappointing. We got the Picada Pequena as an appetizer, it had so much food on it. The fried yucca is probably my favorite part of the plate. I had the Bandeja Paisa and my wife had the Sancocho de Res (beef stew). Driver License FloridaI won the food comparison battle this time. I love the chicharron that comes with the Bandeja Paisa and the sausage. If I'm around this part of town again, ill be stopping. Not a bad place for some South American food in my experience. As soon as you get there, you can see a lot of memorabilia all over the place with flags, decorations and typical music of Colombia. The menu is pretty straight forward and it's compiled with just a few dishes and drinks. I ordered the typical bandeja paisa and it was very good! The attention was alright. It was just one person for the whole place. It's not really a complain. I would recommend people to give this place a try! On my drive home from work thru Colfax ave, I see this big chiva (bus). I immediately took a picture and sent it to my Colombian cousin, he then said wow nice. So I start to search for the restaurant and see it across the street. I talked to the owner since the place was being remodel.Returned another day and bought two Arepas rellenas, beef and chicken was the choice. Then I went ahead and order the 'Empanadas', Beef as they are good. One I open the orders, well the Arepas are small and looked like the size that you buy at the store, namely the Goya brand. I take a bite and well what a disappointment. The arepa is frozen and its not home made. To lift my spirits I look towards the Empanadas. Well what a big disappointment, the empanadas are so small that for the price of almost $8 is a rip off, they were soggy with oil and they were brown, not as the browning of the dough but brown from the oil being so old. Online ServicesThe price for this restaurant could be more reasonable and the portions can be your traditional Colombian. Very disappointed on this visit. PS for the ones reading this, I grew up with my aunt family which is from colombia, this restaurant can improve. After getting a great review my wife, sister & I tried Los Parceros. It is very close to my house on Colfax between Jersey & Jasmine. The restaurant isn't huge with three or four booths on the left side and three larger tables on the right side. The decor is very enjoyable with vibrant color reflecting the Colombian flag amongst lots of other items presumably from Colombia.
